Topic: CURVE

Is there any other ways to create curve? The radiant curve tool didn't create a curve visible in neverball and the curve.exe is not convenient .

Specialized in x86 assembly, knows how to use c , c++ and a bit of java.
Focusing on the ForgeBall project and Minceraft.
Download Minceraft here->  link

Re: CURVE

First, make sure that the curve command is written in the quick reference, before attempt to import the map.

Made with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019
Made with Msys2 for Windows 10

Re: CURVE

  1. Go to https://bilious.alt.org/~paxed/curve.js/ (same thing that parasti mentioned but with one less link to click).

  2. Mess with the parameters.

    • The first five are self-explanatory (although remember to fill out all four radius boxes sensibly).

    • Slope: This moves the end of the curve higher up.

    • Innerdrop, Outerdrop: This can make the curve banked (sloped inwards or outwards).

    • Hill: I am not entirely sure what this does; just set it to 0. Or experiment.

    • ct: This makes the banking apply to both the top and bottom of the curve, rather than only the top.

    • The textures: There are 5 texture inputs. They control the textures on each side of the curve. "Blank" should always be invisible. If there are exposed parts of the curve, the textures on the ends can be changed in Radiant.

  3. Click "get .map" when you are done.

  4. Copy the text and save it in a file ending in .map (I created a subfolder "ImportMaps" inside my main levels folder, and put all of the curves and such in there).

  5. Open your main level

  6. Import the .map file into your level
