Re: Neverball ME (for Android)

Though I found playing it via an accelerometer to be pretty inferior in general (it sounds way more awesome than it is), I think it's worth noting that people encounter this specific problem with the desktop version - players often spend the first level or two learning to bounce uncontrollably off the walls instead of learning ball control, and think that the game has interface/difficulty problems, when it seems more likely that the problem is a learning curve one.

Re: Neverball ME (for Android)

The release of unofficial ports is what held us off releasing any gles code for a long long time ....

Might be time for the full blown gles 2.0 shader version wink

Re: Neverball ME (for Android)

Well, only rlk can pull that off, and from what I understand he used up all his spare time quota on adding Oculus support.

Unofficial ports are not a problem per se, even bad ones. GPL violations and misrepresentation of origin are the problem.

Agreed.  Apart from the shader stuff ... It's not as bad as you think.

I'd really like to see us jump on that stuff. Once I've gotten a couple of other things out of the way, I'll start nudging some of those people.

Re: Neverball ME (for Android)

Hey Neverpeople!!

I really want the android build on my Lenovo.
Is a tab4 plus running Nougat, but

--> the "orange" build fails after a second with no output
--> the ME apk fails with some SDL ttf errors

I really REALLY want a working APK,

am i doing something stoopid or
is there an apk i can use?

I realise this is an old post, but Neverball is eternal
I really want an apk that will run

Re: Neverball ME (for Android)

Years ago there was more emotes than the ones we have now. I found that out on the Neverball GitHub. I guess when the Neverforum reopened after shutting down for a year, they brought back some of the emotes. It would be cool if they brought the old ones back and maybe some now ones!

PS: Before, the emotes weren't smilies; they were actually thwomps.
