Topic: strange glitch in safe ball lvl

hey guys

while testing my latest safe ball lvl i found a strange glitch having to do with textures. at red cirlced points shown in attached pic there are wood texture blocks with caution textured blocks inside that are 1unit smaller all around. when you are a certain distance away and tilt the lvl far enough you see z-fighting btwn the 2 textures on the blocks.

this glitch might have to do with the computer i us(ed/am ing) to build this safe ball lvl. unfortunately i donot know many computer terms that would fit in this sitch tongue. but i do have to turn off background and reflection to make nb run faster and i am using windows xp.

There's a post from ten years ago in which rlk comments on what is basically the same effect you're seeing. Nowadays, this probably only happens on graphics hardware with lower-than-average capabilities, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

as i said i unfortunately donot really know the relevant for here computer terms for 3D graphics/etc, but the computer i was using to make this particular lvl does seem to have lower-than-average graphics capabilities or something, if i have to turn off background and reflections to test the lvl


ps i could paste the url in rlk's post (incl the "?p=7") inside your link into waybackmachine and i could see rlk's old blog post. but with my current amt of computer skills/computer knowledge i cannot make much sense of his post tongue
