Re: Which is better?

I think parasti would say NetRadiant. There are some diffs between the 2 thns that CSY would probably say

I prefer the StopSpammingUselessCrapRadiant.

The MoreMappingLessTalkingRadiant is an even better option.

the problem is that mrko is actually a new mapper and nb can always use mappers when he/she is typing all these short/notthatmeaningful posts hmm

I disagree.

You have to realize that it has become very hard to find useful information on the forum because it has been filled with shitposts in a short span of time.

There are mappers here who have recently posted their level sets to get feedback. I had to make those threads sticky just so they wouldn't be lost in the barrage of shitposts and pretend-newbie questions.

When you ask a question, there's a difference between a) not actually having access to that information and b) wanting everything to be spoon-fed to you after the information has already been given to you.

sorry i wrote this sentence a bit confusingly. What I mean is that mrko is trying to make lvls, and nb can always use more levels/new mappers. But the thing is he is making lots of posts with not much meaning while trying to make lvls.

I guess i was making it seem like he should still be able to do lots of short posts as long as he is trying to make lvls

i agree        the thing is when you are not terribly computer savvy (as i was when i was trying to start mapping), it can be easy to ask kinda dumb questions like "how to use mapc to compile maps" or "how to edit lvl attributes". But of course some of mrko's recent mapping questions like this one are spoonfeeding type

Re: Which is better?

Guys,   parasti is %100 correct on this one.  This forum is not about being social, getting a higher post count, USING ALL CAPS (I hate that),  posting useless shit, posting more useless shit, asking stupid questions you already know the answer to, registering multiple usernames, acting like you're 12 years old...  you're killing the forum,  and Neverball.

I will not host a forum for a bunch of kids.

I am down for the occasional 'out of context' comment, I am guilty myself... but this is getting way out of hand.

This forum is not here for you all to bullshit with each other... it is here to make Neverball the best open source game you've ever played.

i thought everyone typed "off-topic" content in their posts from time to time. i remember in 2010 themacmeister went "off-topic" in a thread by cheeseness. in a mapping question thread i made in 2011 ht-never and other people went on a long tangent about manual mapping tongue.

off-topic tongue : 2010-2012 was quite a different era for nb mapping. tonesfrommars and other users now not mapping, ht-never was making manual maps smile, i was beginning to map, etc

btw wasn't the first post of this thread not exactly redundant/a spoon feeding question? i do think there are some users who prefer one version of radiant, such as CSY who prefers GTKRadiant, (darnit no one else off the top of my head tongue ).
