Topic: How To Open .nbr Files

I've seen the Neverball replays have the ".nbr" extension. How do I open a .nbr file?

Re: How To Open .nbr Files

If you download a .nbr file from the Internet, here is how (a way) you can view it:

In Linux: (sorry only have tried this with Nuncabola)
In your home directory there is a directory called ".nuncabola". In this directory there is a directory called "Replays". Put the .nbr file here. Open Nuncabola and goto "replays". You can watch the replay here.

With Neverball there is probably also a similar directory in your home directory. It would be called ".neverball".

In Windows 8/10:
Go to C:\Users\name\AppData\. In one of the folders in here (Roaming, Local(?), forget), there should be a folder "neverball" or "nuncabola". In here there is a "replays" folder. Put the .nbr file in here. Then you should be able to view the replay in Neverball/Nuncabola.

P.S. In Linux and especially Windows: You will definitely be able to access these folders by typing them in the address bar of the file explorer or shell/command line. If you try getting to them by clicking items (icons) in the file explorer you might have to tick some sort of "show hidden files/folders" option.

I'm sorry, but your Windows instructions are wrong. Please make sure that what you are posting as advice is accurate. Otherwise it's just bad advice.

1) To watch replays (.nbr files) with Neverball, do what NeverHacker said: open the file with the Neverball executable. This works from anywhere, on all platforms.

2) To save a replay for access from the in-game menu, copy the .nbr file to My Documents\My Games\Neverball\Replays (Windows) or ~/.neverball/Replays (Linux and OSX).

Sorry...

I do mean to give accurate advice. But as I have said, I am not a Neverball developer and I do not have the computer savviness that, say, you have.

I guess I forgot that the placement of some Neverball files changed a bit in Windows from nb 1.5.4 to 1.6.0. I dunno abt Linux. I was typing the last post from memory. tongue
