Topic: decade approaching

With another year gone by, there are only 2 years until the new 20's. Wonder what they will be like!?

It is strange to think ht-never and I began posting levels at the beginning of the decade, and it is near the end of it already

yikes

happy new year

I am eager to see more and more people break away from the notorious Adobe Flash technology.

Re: decade approaching

Whenever a new mapper such as p2013125 or reshaun (who is now not-so-new) posts levels, that seems to be when the most of the activity these days stirs up. The longer-time members seem to cause/do very many posts mostly when there is something big going to happen (like this Forum re-opening).

When older mappers (like me or CSY) post levels, this effect is not there so much hmm

Re: decade approaching

It does not help that my levels, as reasonably polished as they are, are not so fresh anymore.

... and with two complete sets, it is very difficult to come up with any more fresh ideas.

The word "never" in "Neverforum" applies right now

It sure seems like it... It is no wonder I am no longer able to receive the feedback necessary to continue supporting Neverball Clockwork.

Re: decade approaching

Even if the forum is sort of dead at the moment ( sad ), it seems there are some pretty great things that could happen, such as a section where people could compete for the best records on various (un-official) levels (or whatever vidski is thinking of), some features that would be fun to add to Neverball, building more levels, etc.

Also Nevermania is not yet a full 25-lvl set, and no bonus levels

Re: decade approaching

NeverHacker remembers times of making noise, now it just wants to watch the time pass...  Is there any idea of adding some features to neverball?

Re: decade approaching

What the world needs now is love, sweet love (as always) - and what this forum needs now to really get started again is an accompanying space for collective competition - just like another Nevertable (which should also work for unofficial level-sets this time). Then I guess at least a few long-time members would return to join in again, while others, already interested for some time, would eventually register and finally become new members just to take part in the contest.

Cheers

Re: decade approaching

Now that Mrko and KodeBreaker are here trying to make levels, it seems the activity is stirring up again! Kinda what I thought would happen...

These days it seems we busy people often have to have a little something such as question to get ourselves posting for a little while

Re: decade approaching

Now that I'm making more levels I could REALLY use some constructive criticism to improve my levels.

I need some difficulty curve and gameplay criticism for my Easy set; but no one has gotten me some yet.

Re: decade approaching

b4 you start changing your lvlset, do you have a github or some other thing to archive different releases of your lvlsets? btw i still have download of your set KodeBreaker Easy when or about when you first posted it. so i have that lvlset in case you have not been archiving each next release of your lvlsets.

btw i have only tried kodebreaker easy so far and i think it is great. glad to have been able to help you with mapping questions in the month(s) when you were asking them big_smile

Re: decade approaching

I do know four things for sure:

1. I'm going to have Sequence switch rows with Pods.

2. Diagnols 1 & 2 already gotten a mini reforge.

3. Cross Up & Down will get a total reforge. They're just total copies of RLK's Sprial Up & Down.

4. All levels with the dark grey fence will have the official fence to make them look more authentic and professional.

it seemed as if you were trying to make official-looking and/or official-quality lvls. are you trying to make official lvls for a next nb release?

Re: decade approaching

It's now starting to get a little difficult to come up with ideas. I still have some good ideas, but I'm hoping I have enough good ones to make all four sets happen. I'm planning to make more puzzle levels for my Expert set.
I also plan to make more levels introducing CSY's clocks and angled acceleration.

I'm starting to more sequels or harder version of my levels and remixes of other levels. I already remixed Fall and Bumperoo and I'm planning to do some more remixes because they're actually quite fun to make. smile

You should create a level with a big jump like BuD's highway.
