@chmod 700 check you PM's
Finally beat 20. This was definitely the hardest level I have ever beaten. This was one of the very few online levels on Neverball that actually took me days to complete. Great job.
Fixed a lag problem with levels 20 and V. New rule: No spoiling the answers to any level 17-20.
I decided not to change the version number on the new level 20 because I did not want KB et al to have to play the level over again. (If you would like to show off your best time, particularly a sub-15:00 time (!), send me the replay via PM.)
Level 20 Cool
This is a very big level after boxes
Level 20 is big, but laggy
I now have played through all of your levels. The ideas were absolutely amazing and very creative. Levels 18, 20, and III completely blew me away, they were very original and fun to beat. The bonus levels were really good too. My favorite bonus level was II, it was really fun to try and get all coins.
Amazing work, great job!
The funny thing is, Bonus II is actually my least favorite bonus level, which is why I made it a bonus level. (I disliked how repetitive the process of getting all coins was.) As for III, I never really liked the system in most race levels where you have to land on a timer to advance the lap counter, although my system has very limited use.
20 will always be laggy, as far as I know. Part of the problem is that I had to make lots of safety mechanisms, which may have defeated some of the challenge, but I find it more interesting if you do not have to restart the whole 15 minute process after one mistake.
Fixed a critical bug where Level 20 started in the wrong spot.
Overall I enjoy your levels a lot. By now I'm working on getting all coins in Bonus II. I'm not skipping any levels this time, rather trying to get all coins in one level after another. Therefore I'm only progressing very slowly through your set. Enclosed some replays. I guess it's not possible to get both of the blue coins when on the moving platform in "Sinking", right?
"Apocalypse" is my favourite level so far. Keep up the good work!
Funny, Apocalypse is probably my favorite level in the set as well. There are several levels for which getting all coins is probably or definitely not possible (spoiler alert: entire 09-12 row). If you know a way to get both blues in Sinking, please let me know!!
Always welcome new levels! Gotta try it it looks good
BTW this is the first level set i feel furious with it
I was just about to ask if anyone would care to go ahead and beat this time for me, 3:53.05 for the race level (III). Spoiler Alert: This replay gives away how to get one of the non-obvious blue coins in that level. But then I suddenly discovered a cheat in the level, so I had to patch it. (My replay will say it was an old version, but it will play just fine.) Download the new level set in the first post.
UPDATE 2019-06-20: Fixed cheat in Race level (III); fixed a typo in Invisible Half Pipe and extended the time limit for that level by one minute.
(I looked at the zip file for my levels before updating... 30 downloads? Wow, I must be popular...)
....finally got all coins in II
I enjoyed it a lot though it's a bit repetitive in the end as you can see in my replay
btw. do all the switches have the same effect on the movement of the plank (the one you need to reach all the coins) or are the harder-to-reach-switches more effective?
The first switch is worth 1, the second is worth 5 (but I should change it to 3), and the third is worth 10. (By "worth", I mean that the coins are divided into groups, and the platform moves 1, 5, or 10 groups.) I also got all coins, by using the last two switches twice each.
guess you're aiming for becoming SuperSpamMaster or is there any specific reason for just hi-ing around?
Continuing with your set this weekend, it's a pure delight! Got the most coins out of 9-11 which is possible I guess (at least for me), while 12 is still keeping me busy right now - it's highly addictive and I'm sure it's possible to get all coins
Completed 12 by now with all 100 coins, tried it several times and two different ways to obtain the last blue coin but always ended up with exactly the same time (!) so I think I can't do better than this
WOW. I was not expecting it to be possible to get all 100 coins (my best is 85, which happens to be the required number in the original Spacetime...) You probably could have shaved a second or two off by using angled acceleration for the big road after the elevator, and switching to manual and decelerating when you reach the curve.
Level 14: it says there are 490 coins to collect but I ended up with 491, eh?
Ah, I found the doubled coin. Consider it a secret... or, I can add it to the List of Minor Defects that I Need to Fix When The Next Update Comes. (I had another thing... oh wait, what was that again?)
sudo chmod 777 -R neverball 12 (12_RunningAmok)
Most Coins, 0:55"57, 100 coins (all coins)
Edit: Attachment removed. A newer replay is available here.
How many tries did that take you, especially with what seems to be the mouse? I still can never get more than 85 (which I misquoted as being the target coins for your Spacetime -- that appears to actually be 82, and my record there was 87). There is a bug in my level though -- you can win without pressing the switch that opens up the 30 coins.
EDIT: Also, dtb, I pose the same question: how many tries did it take you to all-coin 12?
