Also, It The It, I am trying to see if I can get all coins in TTThwomps. Can get the coins everywhere else expect the glass box. Can you upload a replay of you getting the coins in the box only to see how to do It?. Because I'm stumped at that part! hmm

I know it's possible, It's just so difficult for me. I got the two switches on the purple platforms, but I just can't get that one last switch in the glass box.

I once tried playing this lvl on a friend's laptop and it lagged maybe at this point and when rolling under the perfect fit behind the thwomp. I think what I need to do is maybe use a simpler texture instead of the marble sad. I would replace it mainly if this floor is reflective (I think i use the nonreflective marble) or something I donot know about. And/or I would remove the dbl glass at the thwomp edges.            And/or: also use nonrefelctive texture for bottom floor?

anyway I will still have the old version of the pyramidzone lvl b/c I plan to archive older releases of the lvlset

as i said you might have to use angled acceleration tongue as you probably know you can see angled acceleration in the help menu in nb or in Dave's lvls

Hey, It The It I am 99% beating the TTThwomps level. That last ramp requires a perfect angle to get to the goal (which is the part I am stuck at). And honestly, I can see what you were talking about the time limit. When I was trying to beat the level normally, there were times were I had around 30 seconds left at the final stretch.


I also take back the criticism for #2. Once I learned the movement of the thwomps and angled acceleration, it really wasn't that hard. I could probably be able to get all coins in the box now. I think I was just salty at not passing the main box. tongue

I did use angled acceleration on the last ramp along with a lot of other parts, I was just saying that you needed the perfect angle or else you won't get into the box.

i think i know what you mean by needing the perfect angle when going down the final ramp. at this ramp i begin rolling down with angled acceleration, turning the camera a bit if the ball starts to roll to the side, and switch to chase when jumping off the ramp. then it should be be not too hard

Watermaze (01): Fun and easy level. Also a great challenge to get the blue coins! smile
Difficulty: Easy
Status: Complete

Pyramid Zone (02): Cool concept, also a cool challenge to get all coins. Pretty easy besides the lag I mentioned in post 24.
Difficulty: Medium
Status: Complete

Air Slalom (03): An amazing concept! I was so impressed when I first played it. The level it self is pretty easy, but the coins to unlock the goal is what made it hard.
Difficulty: Hard
Status: Complete

Invisible Land (04): This is one hella hard. I got stuck in the box part with grow and shrink coins.. I remember I got so frustrated I had to go into Radiant and see what you were supposed to go.
Difficulty: Hard
Status: Complete

Wood 'n Glass (05): This one isn't too hard except for the last bit with the shrink ball. Looks really good and I love the mix between the Alien and City bgs! smile
Difficulty: Medium/Hard
Status: Complete

Melon Building 1 (06): This one was very hard. I got completely stuck one of the tall slopes until I realized I had to use the mouse (I'm a keyboard player). I think it needs unlimited time. This one by far though, is the level I am most proud to beat! smile
Difficulty: Very Hard
Status: Complete

Thwomp Catapults (07): I can't beat this one yet, this is probably the hardest one in your set.. But it's an amazing concept and it's great looking!
Difficulty: Extreme
Status: Incomplete

Ordinary (08): My favorite one your set! This is one pretty easy, I beat it within a few tries. But I am still trying to get the secret.
Difficulty: Easy
Status: Complete

Lighted Warpzone (09): Very hard and beautiful, perfect for a last level! big_smile I have gotten about halfway through. Angled Acceleration really helps.
Difficulty: Extreme
Status: Incomplete

Bounce Box (I): Very hard but awesome bonus level! Still trying to beat it.
Difficulty: Very Hard
Status: incomplete

TTThwomps (II): It's hard, but it's also really fun! I'm more close to beating this one than Bounce Box.
Difficulty: Very Hard
Status: incomplete

I have beaten Balance Bump by getting the coins near the goal. (Posted Replay) Couldn't get to the teleporter. sad I gotten about halfway through Splitdance and Diamond Path. Couldn't get far in Ball of Sizes.

I plan to keep updating this posts and make post like this for Nevermania and Ctoan's set since they're the only ones left that I haven't completed.

@watermaze (01): when i first made this lvl in 2012, i just added the cage around the goal as a lil extra, when i revised this lvl later in this decade (can't believe i'm saying this yikes ) i just thought to add the blue coins on the cage. smile i like this lvl as an introdution lvl. later i think i should make a circular hole under the goal so you are not stuck if you fall in the cage without enough coins

@Pyramid Zone (02): in a revision of the lvlset that i have not posted yet, i tried to reduce lag at the point in front of the thwomp by adding a lil recess in the floor above the ball. this way the ball is not in a 32unit (same as diameter of regular ball) space. hopefully this will fix the problem

@Air Slalom (03): this lvl was inspired by Krabby Krap's "blind tunnel" lvls (lvls 02 and 11) where a box slowly pushes the ball down a slope, and the coins are only visible when box rolls over them. also btw making the invisible ball carrier thing was a pain, but i think it looks good smile. to make the interval on the starting teleporter not too long, i had to add 8 invisible falling floors. this made a lot of path_corners

i just realized this lvl would be hard if you could only see the coins as the invisible box carried you to them. this could be an idea

@invisible land (04): did you really have 2 look in radiant? i thought this would be a medium lvl! yikes but then this means this lvl is a bit hard 2 figure out, which is wut i wanted

@wood'n'glass (05): while you thought invisible land is harder than this lvl, i think this lvl is harder than invisible land yikes

If you plan to do this, I think you should lower the unlock goal count.

This is one of the very few levels that had to look into Radient. MSB 17 and Extreme IV Level IV are the only other ones.

It's OK, I don't think I need the replay anymore now that I have been very close to the goal. Telling me that I needed angled acceleration at the center box was enough for me to get good at that part. smile

I know, what I was saying is that It was hard for me to get to the teleporter. So I tried to see if it was possible to unlock the goal without reaching the teleporter. Might have worded that wrong in my last post. tongue

Honestly, I don't know why either, I just put it in so I could try in cheat mode. tongue I think it was because the level looked harder than Thwomp Catapults. If it required more coins forcing the player to go to the teleporter, then it would be harder than Thwomp Catapults.

I remember being stuck on iLevels 19 and iLevels Hardcore 18. I felt like I was never going to beat them, so I went into cheatmode to see the final levels. I completely regret not leaving them as a surprise when I played them.

I mostly use cheatmode for testing my levels.

. That means I get to play any level I want. Sometimes being stuck at a really hard level (like level 2 of TDF, RDF, and Mania) is eventually more tiresome than engaging. At least for me. My level 20 (the biggest one by far) will be designed specifically so that it is impossible (hopefully) to fall-out or time-out and have to do everything all over again. At least once you clear the first layer.
