I've changed all the backgrounds to ones which I thought suited the level better.
Particularly for Mehdi's levels. wink

I would be interested in having a look at your changes :-)
The choice of background has to take into account color fitting with level's textures, so changing the background may required applying different textures in the level.
Also, in 1.5, I followed the rule of having one environment per 5 levels (a row) in order to keep the partition of a set into 5 uniform worlds.

Re: Can I change the backround?

Just letting you guys know that I haven't forgotten about uploading a zipped folder with background changes for mym's levels. I gave it a try, but I wasn't entirely satisfied about quite a few of them. ;(

@mym: So would you like me to change the background for all of your levels, or just the ones that look better with a different background? Because some of the levels already have a background that suits it perfectly, and I could leave those the way they are. Or do you think it would be more interesting if I changed all of them?

Thank you for your patience.

Re: Can I change the backround?

@mym: Okay, at last I have uploaded your two level sets with different background changes.
I haven't changed all the backgrounds because some of them look fine just the way they are. ^^
Please tell me what you think of them. smile
And I'm sorry that it took so long.

Cheers,

Re: Can I change the backround?

Here is my version of the first five sets. Some levels wee oved and had slight texture changes to fit new backgrounds. Open the ZIP and move the files into data. When asks to replace the files, press yes.

Sorry if the new shots are big, I didn't have the time to resize 100+ shots at the time.

Should I do other sets too?

Enjoy smile

Sure. Do you want me to upload my versions to the forum in a zipped folder?

I think a mail with zipped (targzed/tarbzipped) map files would be nice.
I just want to give it a try, I think for the same reasons than yours ;-)

And I also replaced some others with the volcano background because it's only used in 5 levels in the entire game, and it's such a nice background too. It's a pity we don't have more levels that make use of this background.

I agree. The reason is this background came very late.
Maybe I could set it to one or 2 rows of my sets.

Since the description of Descent translates to "The Infernal Descent" I think the first row of Tour De Force would be a great option.

Re: Can I change the backround?

I take Spanish in my school. I found in another thread MYM saying the French translation of the Descent level.
