Surprisingly, using this path was easier to beat than using the actual way.
Even though ht-never has downplayed some of his notepad levels, I think this levelset (along with others of these) is very good. It is the most fun I have had with Neverball in a long time. I think it has creative/interesting ideas including the ones that are twists on existing levels. They (saying this partially from intuition) have a good deal of replay value, including challenge mode (this set's is hard), collecting coins, trying to get high scores, exploring, trying to play levels in different ways, etc. (Saying this definitely from intuition -> ) I think they seem to exemplify how fun using the limited tools can be, in this case Notepad instead of Radiant.
Wanting to try to make record replays of this set, I am starting with a replay of level 3. In my opinion this replay is both lackluster and kinda swift.
warning: When I was downloading a few sets from the aforementioned thread, I ended up renaming the directories/ .txt files of in the .zip files so that Neverball could tell the levelsets apart. Therefore to view this replay you might have to rename it by removing the "4" in "ht-never4" !
EDIT: ps In addition to what I think are the positive points of this levelset I really like the "low-budget" notepad look of the texture choices and arrangement. My taste is a bit odd]]>
How does one do this? Dave's levels have been pretty fun and challenging up to this point, but this is just impossible.]]>
